Michelle & Will Wedding in Surrey
A final report from the flight deck of VIS-à-VIDEO for 2009 as Ines now completes her fifth and final wedding video for December. For a change Ines was filming locally in Surrey, in fact so local the church was in Redhill and the wedding reception was in Reigate, which for a Christmas Eve wedding was great news.
As Simon (sometimes known as ‘Harry’) was on leave he was also helping out as the assistant, with duties such as setting up of the second camera in the church and reception, so it was a real family affair for the Award Winning Wedding Video Company.
The wedding ceremony was held in the Holy Trinity Church on Carlton Road in Redhill and after the spate of cold weather the snow and ice was still easy to slip over with the cameras when filming.
The vicar (Gary) who was taking the ceremony is a very friendly and easy going vicar who for once had no issues with wedding videographers and let Ines set up her two cameras without any hassle – as the wedding was on Christmas Eve the church had some beautiful decorations and the aisle had red candles all along the route for the bride and father to walk down.
The groom Will did look at bit stressed before the wedding – later transpires the ushers were at another church – what made this funny was both ushers live in Redhill 🙂 You had to laugh!
After the wedding ceremony the newlyweds drove up to Reigate Fort for some wedding photos over looking the stunning views of Reigate – Ines and Simon were working with Duncan Charman – a wedding photographer from Aldershot – They had never worked together before but both videographer and photographer got on like a house on fire and are both hoping to be working together on future weddings on 2010.
After the photo session it was literally a stones throw to the wedding reception at the Bridge House hotel on Reigate Hill, where the couple enjoyed a few glasses of champagne and chatted to family and friends at the drinks reception.
After the bride and groom had enjoyed greeting everyone on the reception line it was time to sit down ad enjoy the wedding breakfast, the bride and groom very kindly gave Ines and Simon a seat on one of the main tables, which made a very nice change.
Once everyone had eaten it was time for the speeches and first dance, with it being Christmas Eve the groom plus a lot of guests had brought their children with them, so the speeches and first dance were completed by five thirty and the disco then kicked in. What was also great for the kids was a very special visit from Santa Claus who came to see if they had all been good children during the year. The adults who had been very good were treated to a special baileys fountain – which Ines and Simon managed to ‘test’ a few samples.
It was also a great chance for VIS-a-VIDEO to work with some new suppliers and one of those was the wedding photographer Duncan Charman whom I mentioned earlier and a local DJ called James from Horley.
That was the 5th and final wedding video for December and a chance for Ines to have a few weeks off rather than the usual few months as it looks like 2010 is already busy with the possibilities of filming a new wedding in January.
So until 2010 on behalf of VIS-a-VIDEO we wish all our past customers and our suppliers a very Happy New Year!
