The picturesque and charming Cain Manor
Ines and Simon Telling of VIS-à-VIDEO were busy filming another Winter Wedding at the picture-perfect wedding venue of Cain Manor. VIS-a-VIDEO have filmed two wedding videos at Notley Abbey recently, which is one of five wedding venues owned by the Bijou Wedding Company; this was however our first visit to what can only be described as a totally awesome venue.
Cain Manor is set on the Hampshire – Surrey border close to the Devil’s Punch bowl near Hindhead and lays within 20 acres of private grounds. I guess the beauty of holding your wedding at Cain Manor or any of the bijou wedding venues is everything is there for you.
Licensed for Civil Marriages and Partnership Ceremonies either held inside or outside, food cooked on site and overnight accommodation newly weds could do no wrong with booking a wedding at one of the bijou wedding venues.
This wedding was on the weekend the South East had all the bad weather, so driving to this secluded venue was going to be tricky as a lot of the back roads in Surrey and Hampshire were not de-iced. Ines and Simon got to the venue after negotiating all the country lanes and got themselves all set up to film the wedding of Maria and Grant.
It transpired that the groom was a jet racer and was currently ranked third in the British Championships, if you look closer at the wedding cake you will see the bride and groom on two jet skis made of icing.
The bride’s family decorated a Christmas tree at the venue, with friends and guests contributing decorations and cards as well. The bride’s father had travelled over from Florida and I think as well as celebrating the wedding they were also going to have an early Christmas together, so all this together with the lovely smell of warm mulled wine made Cain Manor the perfect Christmas wedding venue.
The civil ceremony was held in-doors and what is really nice about Cain Manor is the wedding guests do not have to venture into the cold the whole day and every part of the wedding day is conducted in the main part of the manor.
VIS-a-VIDEO filmed the bride and groom’s first dance, and once the whole day’s filming was completed drove back to Epsom Downs for a glass of red wine and to watch the final of SCD (Strictly Come Dancing).
On Sunday morning Ines was back in the studio to carry on editing and to reply to wedding enquiries, one of which was a re-newal of wedding vows for 2011 as the couple did not have their wedding filmed and regretted it ever since, so fingers crossed VIS-a-VIDEO will get the opportunity to film it for them.
With Christmas fast approaching, VIS-a-VIDEO has one more wedding to video on Christmas Eve, but lucky for Ines it is only in Reigate which is not far from her studio on Epsom Downs.
If I do not get chance to update you on that wedding, on behalf of Ines Telling and VIS-à-VIDEO we wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
