The day I came out…

…from behind my camera, that is. The brainchild of Gwenda Jeffs of The Vintage Floral design Co. I was invited to represent my trade in this calendar girls type shoot, where twelve (hence ‘calendar’, get it?!) industry professional were to be modelling with their tools of the trade. Cue instant panic, I’m no designer and to style myself in a way that represented my trade, what I do and what I stand for…well, let’s just say I had a few sleepless nights. Besides, it was meant to look good and the obvious tools of my trade aren’t exactly pretty – DSLRs, monopods, fluffy microphones and ermh…gaffer tape?!

But hey, one borrowed rubber corset, purchased steampunk victorian ruffley skirt and unearthed vintage super 8 camera later I felt I ‘had something’; D-day dawned and we trooped down to Oxon Hoath, a fantastic little country retreat/ wedding venue in Kent. After being pampered, primped and preened to within an inch we all had our time on our respective ‘sets’. I got to work with the wonderful Jeanette Lendon, one half of Cocoon Photography. For the whole blog of everyone please head over to Bijou Bride… However, in a fit of unadulterated self-centredness I’m going to show off all my images first:
