Last month 20 of us from the KTM Forum went and hired the Golding Barn Moto Cross track down in Sussex on a Friday. Having never been on a moto cross track before I was very a nervous as the table top jumps did look rather daunting. After all the fast riders went out I decided to go and have a little potter over it and just roll up and over the table tops , having gained a bit of confidence doing I decided just to approach the ramps with a tad more speed and after a mornings practice was looking at hitting these with more and more speed.
What was really great was having my mate Jono Court who races Moto X to help me out around the track showing me entry / exit to corners , how to ride the rough stuff and get the confidence or rather “balls” to hit the jumps with a bit more speed . After lunch I found out the front sprocket was chewed up to pieces and having walked down to the little moto x shop to see if they had any sprockets it was not looking good, but luckily for me Pec Gaz had a spare and I was off again around the track.
It was such a great day , that we have decided to rebook another private track day in either July or August. As usual while I was away enjoying myself Ines
was busy working in the studio editing the latest wedding videos and typical of her pushing 18 hour days 7 days a week.
