Wedding Video – Basset Down FarmHouse – Wroughton
Vis-à-Video films Wedding of Lisa and Mark at Bassett Down Farmhouse
Hello once again … this is the SEO Officer reporting from Vis-à-Video HQ again , Ines Telling is off once again to film a Wedding Video. The Award-Winning Wedding Videographer is filming in Wroughton . Wroughton is a large village in Wiltshire in the South West England region of the UK.
In my earlier life as a RAF Regiment Gunner , Wroughton had an RAF Hospital … but that is a life time ago. The site is now known as the Science Museum Swindon (part of the National Museum of Science and Industry – NMSI) as a storage site that occasionally opens to the public. The Science Museum has ambitious plans for the site, with a project called Inspired.
Anyway back to filming Wedding Videos, Ines is filming the Wedding of Mark and Lisa at Bassett Down FarmHouse , with the Church Ceremony being held at St. John the Baptist and St. Helen Church in Wroughton. I have included a photograph of the church and enclosed some history , but I would suggest if you wish to read more history on the church please click on the photo ..
The Church is built in Ellendune, which is thought to be an ancient hill fort. Near this place in 825AD, at the battle of Ellendune, the Kings of Wessex took over dominance from the kings of Mercia; one of the most important battles in English history. There is evidence of a church building on this site since at least the 10th century AD.
The Wedding Reception was held at Basset Down Farmhouse , and this venue is believed to be once owned by Thomas Seymour , brother of Jane Seymour who married King Henry 8th. However Thomas lost the land and farm house when he was locked up in the Tower of London and later executed. I have posted a link to his history , so just click on his name
