Visit to the Top Gear set
VIS-à-VIDEO visit Top Gear Film set at Dunsfold Aerodrome
Ines and I were fortunate enough to get tickets to see the making of Top Gear at the Dunsfold Aerodrome on Wednesday . I also wanted to test our new Tom Tom 940 Live to see if it could find the set using the “Google Search” function, I must admit I am very impressed with the new Tom Tom , it did however put us at the opposite end of Dunsfold Aerodrome, but after speaking to the security guard we were on our way to Building 86.

We parked up at the designated area and were advised to hang around till 2 pm and then we will be called to set. We were also advised not to take our phones , cameras or bags on to set. It seemed we were the only ones out of the 200 or so audience who listened and did so, because , as soon as we arrived at the set, every man and woman got their cameras out and started taking photographs.
Ines did have her iphone with her and we managed to take a few photos when everyone stopped filming for afternoon tea and biscuits, typically British, and so it should be from the BBC.

We are not sure if we are going to be seen tonight on Top Gear, but hey we live in hope. During filming Ines & I got chance to speak to Hammond and James May, we briefly spoke about motor bikes and push bikes , in particular Super Moto bikes.
All in all it was a great but very long and tiring day , but if you are a fan of Top Gear I would highly recommend putting your name down for studio tickets, it might take you 5 years but its worth it
