Last week saw me filming the annual G.A.P.S. (Gatwick Airport Pantomime Society) charity performance of ‘Mother Goose’ at the Hawth Theatre in Crawley in association with British Airways. It is a show close to my heart and I have now been filming this for fourteen years – I have even been known to don a showgirl outfit myself one year, oh yes, I did! Normally I spend every day from Tuesday onwards at the Hawth capturing last minute rehearsals, tech rehearsals and / or dress rehearsals and all sorts of backstage shenanigans.
This year, however, I couldn’t get in as I couldn’t get out…if you catch my drift (sorry…). It was just reported that Epsom actually had the worst of the snow in the country – I know, we had most of it in our back garden and driveway. 30cm and counting. With no gritters to be seen anywhere near our local roads there just was no getting out, we live on a hill and it was littered with abandoned cars as people could not get up the hill and just left their cars and walked off.
When I finally made it in by Wednesday, it was only to find myself surrounded by more white fluffy stuff for the rest of the week – I know feathers are in this year but was this not taking it a bit far, peeps?! And don’t get me started on those orange crocs…

Joking aside, it was a great show and just gets better every year. I particularly loved the music numbers this year, the choreography was very tight and polished and we had some very strong singers. I also really liked the musical arrangements, so well done, everyone. Great costumes as well, and professional sets. All round fab show!
I’ll leave you with some snaps…
